Why Do People Hate Smart Women?

The quick answer is jealousy which comes from women and men who resent or feel threatened by a very articulate person if they are not. It seems to me that no matter how good of a job I do or how nice I am, and I am, I’m railed on at some point by those who don’t understand me. Humans are really something. Especially the name-calling and commanding tone when they have no right, whatsoever, to start it up. Primates.

This issue is really floating on the collective society’s surface right now and showed it’s face to me two days ago. I’ve been aware of and dealing with this issue my entire life and have a pretty good coping mechanism in place so that I never feel victimized or lonely.

However, this week, the face of this thing is morphing. I’m seeing it turning around and bouncing off of the white culture (female and male) and the brown cultures (Mexican and East Indian) and the black cultures. I have friends from all of these cultures so that’s why I’m seeing and hearing it.
The Mother

Men who have been traumatized by a very frustrated mother who turned bitchy or abusive in the home have suffered the most. But I have to say, your mother made you. You wouldn’t be here or have a body no matter what her behavior was once you came out if she hadn’t done her thing. That is enough for gratitude and respect. Does every mother have karma for how she treats her children? Inescapably yes. But men should not let that ruin their minds or their relationships with women. It has though.

However, white men and women don’t see it that way. They hold a grudge, believing that they are in a privileged position in society and should always be treated well, especially by their parents. Personally, my parents were very WASP’y so I was treated well. They never lifted a finger to me and very rarely screamed at me.

The black and brown men I know absolutely respect their mothers and forgive them their wrongs. What black and brown women go through is ten times greater than that of white women but ultimately, all women are pretty much in the same caste system with the brown and black men. We’re at the same social level below white men. White women try to get a leg up in the caste system by mating and marrying white men even though we generally don’t prefer them. This is from my informal surveys of women in my office for twenty years. White men have a sense of entitlement as far as how they’re supposed to be treated. I can absolutely say that the brown men I’ve known, in no way, have that going on and I hope to be on an equal social footing with my mate in the last half of my life.

I can tell by the way brown and black men talk about their mothers and what they do for them that they love and respect their mothers and grandmothers. They don’t always agree or like them but who does? There is no comparison to the way my two white mates spoke about their mothers; with complete derision, calling them stupid and ignorant and saying they wish they’d been adopted.

The hatred of women is coming from the misogynistic white male culture. They especially hate white women. Again, being white, I feel it harks back to the very dysfunctional way that relationships are formed in the white culture; based on ownership, things, money, and property.

That’s all I have on this one. The article really says it all and it ripped me to shreds accepting this issue. Please read it. I’ll have to get back to you on this. It’s pretty much an open wound.

What is Connection?

A connection is an affinity, an ease of communication, an understanding of another person, a desire to get to know someone better, the real possibility of a lasting friendship, and for women, respect. For men, it’s a huge turn-off to contemplate respecting a woman although most won’t admit it.

A connection does not denote love, being in love, physical attraction, desire for sex, desire to get married, desire to live with you, dreaming of a future, desire for a boyfriend, an attempt to control the other person, or dependency. Just because a guy feels a connection to a woman he really…should not freak out in fear that she’s going to control him with her feminine ways and make him give her babies. Or, post-reproduction, make him grow up and face and express his feelings. Most of us are too busy to try to control you. We ask that you organize yourselves. That’s usually asking too much though.

Interdependent connection between a woman and a man means you each have your own lives, take responsibility for knowing and expressing how you feel, making your own physical appointments, have boundaries that you agree on for privacy, but depend on each other for whatever you’re comfortable with which is usually quite a bit; affection, sex, sharing food duties, household chores, and child and pet care. Personally, though, I think couples need to have their own money and manage it themselves but sometimes merging it makes a bigger pile obviously. However, spending priorities can cause a divorce so, in that case, keep it separate.

I happened to be sitting next to a guy at a bar several months ago and he got a text from a woman he’d been dating. He told me she was really hot (like I need to know that. He wanted me to know that). She had just texted that she was willing to help him decorate his new place. He complained to me that that was intrusive and overcontrolling of her. I just shook my head. Men. You overinterpret us just being nice, way too much. We just like to do girly stuff.

You also make an awful lot of dumb assumptions about our sexual prowess and skill based on our body shape and size. That’s like assuming an orange that’s bigger than the other ones won’t taste as good pulling it off the tree when it truth, it will likely be sweeter and juicier! Your loss dude. Think through stuff more. A smart woman in life is a smart woman in bed, no matter her size. And if she’s smart, she’ll be detached in her feelings and won’t necessarily want you to stay. We independent types like the whole bed to ourselves. You’re programmed to prefer thin women and that’s just dumb.

Another guy I sat next to one time pointed out a large-sized waitress and said, “She looks good to me. It makes me hungry looking at her.” I’m thinking, “Does he see her as a roast chicken and potatoes or a human being?” I mean really! It would have been funny if it wasn’t so stupid! Again, I shook my head.

Women have given up on all of that. A simple connection means you guys stay calm enough, nixing the drama and fear, that we can have your short attention span for maybe ten minutes? Most women won’t settle for that anymore and many women are just going to women; lesbianism. The only women left who want you will be women that want babies and that will be all they want from you if that’s the only skill you’ve developed. But if you flirt, don’t lie about it and act like you haven’t. All guys flirt even just to see how far he can get, even if he doesn’t mean it. But if you flirt, and we flirt back, you better deliver dude.

Most women are independent, not dependent. Women “act” dependent for your ego. That’s it. Most women have an education and know they need to have their own money because let’s face it; most of the time you use your money to try to control us and then die or walk out and we would have no money. No woman wants to be controlled and penniless. There’s no room for love to grow there and no security for us. All women want love before anything else but many women have compromised for so long, not having the connection and affection they need that they’re out of touch with their body. Just sex is just the worst for us. It’s Mcdrive-thru Sex. Horrid. It also tells us you aren’t very bright. Only dogs just fuck and eat fast food for God’s sake.

I’ve known more than one man who I had friendship and affinity with and flirting, run the other way because I returned it. I’m mystified. We’re not supposed to like you back or you split? Are we just supposed to stand there, bask in it, and look pretty, never say anything smart and let you control every aspect of the relationship to your comfort level because you’re so insecure? That’s the only way you’ll come back or stick around? Oh well then, see ya!

How Do Humans Turn Intuition into Knowing?

Turn off the outside disturbances, carve out silent alone time for yourself, workout, love your body, do yoga, and plan a vegetarian or vegan way of life. Make a list of friends who are loving and friends who are toxic and make some decisions. That’s a start!

What I observe about 98% of humans is that they pay FAR more attention to the media, material concerns, and others than they do to their own body, how it feels, what they are feeling emotionally and what direction their heading in. They live on automatic pilot and let their lives be dictated by everyone else. Under those conditions, you’re not going to hear or see anything! You’re sleepwalking through life and likely abusing some kind of drug. That’s the other thing is my brain is completely sober so I go through life extremely mindful.

Your real life doesn’t begin until you can feel your own body, feel your feelings, hear your thoughts, and become aware of your habits. If you care more about what others think of you than you do yourself, you’re off track.

Personally, my intuition has always been spot on, ever since I was a young girl. That’s how I know something ahead of time. And then it happens…always. I absolutely KNOW what is going to happen and it’s always right, like the sun rising every morning. It’s very normal for me, and always has been, for me to get “a flash” like hearing something on the radio or seeing it visually as on a screen before it happens. Dean Radin, Ph.D. is a great researcher and writer on the paranormal and psychic knowing. He’s documented it fully. I like his book, “The Conscious Universe”.

The Conscious Universe

I’ve got one other post on this issue I believe. The other new piece here is that the biologists have found magnets in our brains. I believe, if they keep looking, they’ll find them all through the body in all of our cells. They don’t understand it yet, but I’ve felt the magnetism in the body in my office doing bodywork on my patients for 20 years so this is no news flash to me.

Magnets in the Human Brain Mapped

When I do Reiki I feel like my entire body is spinning in a magnetic vortex also. Back to the original question, how can anyone tune into their intuition and follow it? I’m not convinced I’m “gifted”. I believe it’s natural to all human beings. I don’t know what it’s like to walk around being someone else but I do observe other people walking around negative, doubtful, hyper-rational or hyper-emotional, and materialistic.

Pete Sanders, Jr. wrote a book called “You are Psychic”. I worked with him in Sedona, AZ when I lived there. He’s a trained scientist from MIT. He teaches classes on this empowerment.

You Are Psychic

Once you drop all of that, you’ll get the life you came into the body to live and it’s magnificent. Anything less is not worth living for…at all.

Keep trying and being honest, peeling those layers bit by bit until you’re living an authentic life. You can do it!

Subject-Object in Life

Remember diagraming those sentences in school? Subject, verb, object. “What is the subject of the sentence and how does it act (the verb) on the object?”

There is much hoopla made of women being sexually objectified but when these issues come up, I always try to think about it intuitionally as well as rationally because it’s so easy to stereotype based on gender.

It is widely observed that males do tend to be the subject of most movies, books, sporting events, commercials, anchors on the news, utility companies, Presidents, and CEOs. The male perception of things does, in fact, run the planet. That’s patriarchy.

But does that mean that men are never objectified? Think about the system of patriarchy a second. Patriarchy is about usage and consumption. It’s about money, power, death, and oppression, control and victory at any cost. There isn’t much good about it. I’d say there is nothing good about it. In a system such as that, militarism, monetary debt, toxic waste, pathological lying, corrupt government leaders and religion are rife. It doesn’t do much good on the planet. But both women and men shore up patriarchy by accepting their roles of subject-object and rarely reversing them. They could reverse them, or in a loving partnership, both of them are subjects and never objects. So, in that scenario, isn’t it reasonable to assume that:

“Patriarchy eats everything”; Subject/verb/object. Men are consumed as well by the monster. They, in turn, are taught and expected to consume woman.

No one escapes and no one wins really. That means men are objectified too by the system as being set up over and over again as the subject of every last, damn, thing. They are, after all, most of the millions dead from two World Wars. Just watch TV with pen and paper and make two columns Male/Female and make a vertical slash every time you see a woman, every time you see a man and watch the men’s column pile up. That’s not a good thing for men or for women. It’s unbalanced! I personally wouldn’t want all that focus. It’s too much pressure. When women are portrayed on TV they are rarely if ever portrayed as subjects or the ones acting first in the sentence. If they are it’s as a conniving wench, a bitch, a sweet mother or a nurse. Patriarchy doesn’t allow for women to be portrayed as a strong subject; a female lead. Hillary Clinton did that and she was crucified. The message, “Women, don’t ever try to be the subject of the sentence in the United States of America.”

I’ve had too many men say to me, “You just want attention.” My response, “No, I’d just like to be the subject, not the object being acted upon by you most of the time.” But somehow, I doubt most women even know they’re the object being acted upon. They take it for granted that it is their role because they follow system dictates unconsciously. The media and the church do the brainwashing.

For the first time in my life, living in the house I own, I am the subject of my own life and I am able to give focus and make each of my patients that come here the subject in my office. I started out my physical life as a child being extremely objectified by my parents, then school, then college, then my parents literally threw me to a Chicago curb when I was eighteen like so much garbage, then men, on and on for half of my life. Women are not seen or known or even wanting to be known by anyone as people! But are men either? They have that subject role to carry around all the time like a rock in a backpack. Not even our other women friends who are too busy being objectified by their families that define them, want to spend time with me.

Well, in my house, “The patient receives therapy from me.” Subject/verb/object. I guess I’m a pronoun in my office. That’s just fine because I’m the subject of my life the rest of the time because I have important work to do and I’m doing it. I’m on this planet to act, not be acted upon and that’s not selfish. It’s what we all need to do; act on behalf of ourselves in our own lives so we can unconditionally give to one another.

The Source of Intuition

“…cognitive scientists think of intuition as a set of unconscious cognitive and affective processes; the outcome of these processes is often difficult to articulate and is not based on deliberate thinking, but it’s real and (sometimes) effective nonetheless.”-Maria Popova on “Brain Pickings”

Cognitive Scientists think of…That doesn’t sound very convincing. The link to a study below is more convincing but the fact that the study focused on genetics makes it very narrow due to the fact that only 2% of human genes are different from one another caused by slight differences in our birth family. When science tries to objectify anything based on the genome, it’s shooting in the dark because they can’t read 98% of it. It’s like science is smoke and mirrors sometimes. They don’t know what it says but they aren’t widely admitting it in public. They just called it “junk DNA”. They’re essentially saying, “Well, we don’t know what it is so it’s just junk to us”. It protects their egos.

Come to think of it, it’s similar to the way male scientists treat women. They don’t understand women, their natures, their beauty, their brilliance, their needs and intuition and thus can’t control us. Consequently, we are objectified and thrown to the curb as “junk” instead of treasured and loved when it suits their ego or performance needs.

Women came out far more accurate at just being able to look at someone and accurately tell what they were feeling. That has been my experience in clinical practice as well over sixteen years. In this study, we have the scientific method, worshipped by males mostly (women use it too obviously but we find it slow moving), proving the fact of intuition.

Intuition study of 90,000 people

Moreover, intuitions get better with practice — especially with a lot of practice — because at bottom intuition is about the brain’s ability to pick up on certain recurring patterns; the more we are exposed to a particular domain of activity the more familiar we become with the relevant patterns (medical charts, positions of chess pieces), and the more and faster our brains generate heuristic solutions to the problem we happen to be facing within that domain.”-Maria Popova, Brain Pickings

Next time a woman next to you says, “It’s women’s intuition” you need to believe her.  Or, if you’re a woman, trust your own intuition, especially with your children and your own body.  It’s backed up by science if you think that somehow makes it more worthy.

Highly toxic chemotherapeutic drugs developed in the 1950’s kill ALL rapidly dividing cells in the body, which means not only cancer cells but many kinds of healthy cells as well” p.153

Chemotherapy, as a treatment for cancer, is counterintuitive then.  Is it legal for me to say that?  The above quote is from a Ph.D. neuroscientist who worked at the National Institutes of Health.

I intuitively knew my father wasn’t going to make it.”-Candace Pert, p.158

It was at this juncture in the episode that I found myself at an NIH lunch table, sitting opposite my onetime collaborator, verbally wrestling with him over control of the research. As the power boy sat across from me making demands, I was in no position to mount an effective defense, nor did I want to.  In tough tones, he told me that he’d prefer to cut me out altogether, and deal only with Terry. This was his arena, he told me, in no uncertain terms, and I needed to understand that. After all, he was the chief, and if I was a good girl, maybe I would be considered for the position of research associate on future projects.”-p.157

I’ve encountered this in male chiropractors offices as well in the last five years.  It’s outlined in my book “Healer”.  Sometimes it seems as though we haven’t gotten much past Tudor England in the times of King Henry the VIII! It’s 2017 but the White House is still run like the Palace of the King and Queen.

Whenever something doesn’t fit the reigning paradigm, the initial response in the mainstream is to deny the facts“-p.162

The thing about that is, that’s how all humans tend to react to information they don’t personally like. Our egos and feelings come first. The facts of the matter come second.  IF….IF…we’d all pay attention to synchronicity and our intuition, that would not be the case. The fact is, intuition is rational and helps us feel secure because its basis is found in the body. It is no wonder that all of our institutions, (Church and State) and our health care system train us to ignore our own intuition about our body or tell us that we’re supposed to sacrifice them for the greater good.  No, it’s for THEIR good they want our money, energy, time, and body. You can take it back.

We’ve evolved to pay attention to our feelings, instincts, and intuitions and all the great scientists and artists know that. I make a good living now that I’ve empowered myself and have my own business.  You can too. But you have to love and honor yourself above what your parents and society tell you is acceptable.

Objectivity Can Be Over-Played

There is a balance to be struck between being objective and subjective in life. Being objective means you separate yourself mentally from the other person or situation and merely perceive them as an object to potentially be of use to your own ends. Our patriarchal system and all of our institutions are this way; very Orwellian. Bankers, military leaders, scientists, accountants, philosophers, and therapists tend to live life more staid and safe. It also means you sit safely in your ego and rarely apologize. Earthly power means a lot to objective people. I can get this way sometimes because I’m been through too many emotionally hard events that I’ve had no control over and did not create myself. That’s life and I’ve done my best to still suck something out of it to learn.

They are able to sublimate any potential emotions or needs that would attach you to them and make them vulnerable. This kind of behavior, if it’s dominant in your personality, stems from early childhood development of the subconscious mind where it wasn’t emotionally or physically safe for you to depend on your immediate family. They were too fucked up, but obviously, you were completely dependent on them for survival. Being objective saved your little soul. Good for you! Many can’t be objective and they don’t make it. The ability to analyze human behavior can be tremendously helpful when one of your parents or both, we’re nuts. On the other hand, maybe you were just born not caring. Some people claim to know human beings like that although it’s rare.

Intuition comes under subjectivity. Subjective personalities relish the physical senses and feeling life on its full spectrum rush through them. They are usually extrovert and run from place to place having adventures. They jump in, they don’t stand back, and they feel the love from others and give it in return. Artists, athletes, musicians, and actors are just a few that are willing to live life in the fire. I observe most humans as subjective because it’s natural to feel a flow with sentient life. Just as trees, flowers, grass and different animals coexist without conflict, we could too.

Both of these, if taken to extremes can burn you out. Objective -Subjective. We always hear, “You need to be more objective”. No one ever says, ” You need to be more subjective”. But it seems to me our leaders, institutions, and scientists do need to be more subjective. I wonder sometimes if they are real human beings. Can they peel their faces off?

No matter how hard the robotic humans and cold, hard, scientists try, normal people are emotionally involved with each other because ultimately, that’s what life is about. We crave it…all of us. They can’t stop it. The earth is one big ball of natural passion, from hurricanes to earthquakes. We roll with it and with each other, and people continue to die and are born. What a wild ride. It’s best not to overthink it because it doesn’t last long. Relish every breath you take and every hug you can garner.
