What Intuition Is and Is Not

I’ve been an intuitive, psychic person my entire life. My brain is like a radio station picking up the signals. I just have to sort through them. I just picture a person, tune into their “station” and feel their vibe in my mind. Then I can see what’s going on with them, what they’re doing, how their feeling, you name it. I’m not going to do that all day because I’m living my own life. It would be terribly distracting and a waste of my time. I have no need to vampire off of other people’s vibes to keep myself afloat. I live from my own inner self. The human brain does have this capacity though and many people have it.

It’s not a cake walk.  I’m a lightworker and a lover, so I’m very sensitive to nasty, crappy, toxic energy.  I don’t and won’t tune into people or read people that live on the “dark side” unless I have a super important reason to. Sometimes Spirit, says, “Go ahead. We’re here.” That energy is bad to expose yourself to. Most people that I’ve seen walk in between light and dark, yin and yang and that is quite normal for Earth because we’re all learning about our soul and mind power and how to use it correctly to be creators.

It is common for me to see pictures and sense feelings and energies upon meeting someone. It’s easy for me to hear and feel loved ones who have passed over when talking to someone on the phone and the details I receive are accurate. They confirm it when I’ve never spoken to them before nor have I met them. I can usually see what someone is doing when I’m talking to them on the phone, and I have prescient dreams. All of that is normal for me.  I think all human brains could do it if the skill was honed, but you need to allow it to flow.

I am not Wiccan, pagan, or anything because I don’t worship earth or the Universe or entities. I do believe in God and J.C. has my heart but the religions are no different than the state. I’m aware of how unusual I seem but I believe more people are admitting that they are attuned or have one or more psychic senses than before. In the American culture that means you don’t talk about yourself very much just to be safe. The Christians, in particular, are very afraid of spiritual gifts, but fear is the basis of that religion. I work and center in love always and my life is the proof of it. No book has the power to tell me who I am. Even God doesn’t presume to tell people who they are. I was born in 1963 so now in 2018, things are getting better in our society in regard to this. There are even spirit mediums who are on the national circuit and quite famous.

I can’t say I fully support that because as an intuitive myself, I feel like my time is better spent empowering people to find their own, natural psychic nature than doing it for them.  It’s no different in my office where in order for me to be a good example and teach people about what they’ve done to the soft tissue in their body, I have to put my hands on it and then they can feel how they’ve turned themselves to stone. The blood isn’t flowing as it should because their mind and emotions are clenched up. Don’t clench up or get angry too much or it will make you sick and in pain.  Let it go and forgive because it’s the best thing for you, not for the other person.

When the blood stops flowing through your flesh it’s because your emotions and thoughts are repressed or misdirected, and you are not expressing yourself in some fashion and releasing it. Or your activities are done in stressful mind. Then the vibration goes straight into every cell of your body.  There is no question here. All of this has been proven in the lab by neuroscientists. It’s a fact. I blogged about it as well in previous posts citing the examples.  So, if you’re uncomfortable with your feelings and unwilling to face and release habitual, negative thought, then just know that is the main reason you are ill or in pain. It’s not about blame and guilt but empowerment. You have the power to align your thoughts and heart through your own choosing. You are the only one who can finally be mindful of it and let it all go. That, and you don’t HAVE to say it to anyone. You can be private about your experiences, I believe.  Or journal it, let it go, and burn it! Privacy is important if you feel that way. That said if you really feel the need to talk it out, tell a counselor. But you still have to follow your own inner guidance.

Intuition is not “a hunch”, “a feeling”, “a sense”, “a guess” or following your nose to find the right way. Intuition is not a dream or emotions at all. Intuition is not the ability to “read minds” of people who are failing to communicate properly with you in the normal fashion. If I’m talking to someone, I’m listening to them and how they speak, I’m not intuitively reading them. That would be rude and more work for me when they need to do the work of communicating what they mean. Intuition is not “tuning into your heart” either.

Intuition is a function of the higher, rational brain and works in tandem with it. Great musicians, artists, and scientists use their whole brain in balance. Music IS math. Numbers are alive and can morph the way tuning on a musical note morphs. But the essence of the note or the number remains the same.

The more you use your brain for reading, critical thinking, writing, abstract thinking, and learning, the smarter you will become and the more highly developed both sides of your brain will be. We know we have a right and left brain hemisphere and one brain does the organizing work and the other one does the abstract spatial work but they always work together. This is the theme of my blog. Both men and women have intuition but because we are social creatures, for some reason, it’s perfectly acceptable for women to be intuitive and develop and show our sense highly but not so acceptable for men.  That’s a big detriment. Why is that? Men are intuitive too, obviously, because they do have a right brain hemisphere. The same is true for women able to analyze information in a rational manner and do well with math. Obviously, we are capable of that because we have a left brain hemisphere.

Advice that tells you to follow your feelings and your thoughts is not good advice. Listen to your feelings as an indication of your truth and use it to make a decision but use other things as well, such as your intuition. That’s like telling someone driving in a car to just follow the signs they see on the road. Well, no, don’t just go where the signs point because there are all kinds of signs pointing in all different directions depending on where you want or need to go. The higher mind, using both hemispheres and your psychic senses, can make choices, lay out a plan, have an idea in mind, have a rational sense, think it through, and have an intuition about the destination, Yes!?? I mean…really.  It’s the “think before you speak or leap” advice that is so rare on this planet. Too many people are running on instant gratification.

Don’t just do what you feel like doing or blow with the wind most of the time. That’s not to say you won’t make a mistake even if you think it through. The reason for that is the unconscious mind. It is there in our mind but we’re shielding it from ourselves because it’s too painful, like subconscious events from in utero-five years old that were brought on by our parents. Human history shows that those that blow with the wind litter the sides of the road and the hospitals far more than those who have used their mind to think it through. They also have more money, success, and productive communication and healthier relationships with the world around them.

A Pretty Good Brownie

I had a very good brownie yesterday with the right level of height so that I was able to observe my trip pretty well. This was purely experimental as I am the kind of person that fully enjoys the sobriety of my conscious mind to do my work because I’m intelligent. There is no substitute for the satisfaction of figuring something out or learning a new skill, for me. It’s a big self-esteem boost.

If I were trying to escape my body or my life, weed would plumett my self-esteem. That was my first observation. The second was that I had a bit of paralysis. Not literally. I could move but my etheric body wanted to leave my physical body which pulls the qi that allows you to move, right up and out. I do that plenty when I sleep at night, I don’t want to feel that way during the day when I have work to do.

If you DO want to feel that way during the day you need therapy; body work, reiki, talk therapy; not medical marijuana. You’re in denial about your true feelings if you want to feel like that alot. That will kill you because THE BACKED UP EMOTIONS go into your cells. Pot can’t kill you, no, but constant denial of your feelings and an unbalanced life will. It also throws off your appetite and sleep.

I commanded my etheric body to stay one with my physical and it obeyed. Because I did, I was able to observe and remember my trip. It was like being in an airport; public and stupid, full of non-focused, chaotic energy that I feel is the bane of this planet. But what happened is that because I wasn’t interested in traveling in the public ethers, I went deeper into my physical cells. I love my body, as my readers know, so I tuned into that.

Markedly, I had no pain. My muscles usually ache because I walk and work out daily. That was marvelous. And today I’m in less pain as an after effect so it is very anti-inflammatory. My cells got excited the more relaxed I was. I heard and saw my spirit guides laughing at my internal awareness so that was fun. It erased all of my physical tension. That is possible with yoga and breathe work though too.

Well, I was out of it for a full four hours and the last hour just loopy. That’s four hours of my life I won’t get back. I was grateful for the body awareness but I can do that on my own. I was just neglecting to do it because my brain has been busy learning computer programming. Also, no one should drive while using! It’s no different than alcohol.

The last thing I have to say is there was nothing spiritual at all about a pot-induced trip. It’s just a drug affecting the brain. I am a spiritual person and have had many spiritual experiences. It’s altogether different because you’re conscious and use your free will. The spirit world is real if you open your heart.

Alone/lonely

via Alone/lonely

I was just inspired by Cristian Mihai’s most recent blog today about being alone. I shared the link above. Please read it if you have not. I actually just blogged on “I’m Alone Now” just a week or so ago too because my nineteen-year-old son just left the house.

I told Cristian that I related exactly to about eighty-percent of how he feels and I’m guessing many writers on here are introverts and love to be alone. But for me, it’s very positive. I never feel lonely. In fact, I wish I had longer streams of time, undisturbed alone to read, think and write. I’m still very busy in my home and have a small holistic business here so people are in and out. That may be part of it, I’m not sure.

I paused when Cristian wrote, “You can’t change how you feel”. Long pause. “Hmmm.” “No, he’s right.” I thought. “Feelings are organic. They just come up.” We all know that and it’s part of what makes us writers. But I have a physical process I go through that I want to share that turns my tears, worry, anxiety, sadness, the concern that comes up organically into feeling better.

I observe my breath. In and out. It is MY breath in MY body. I have complete control over how my breathing feels and how I allow my breath to reach my organs. I envision my blood pulsing through me. It feels very warm and loving. I relax my feet and make sure they are planted on the ground. I relax my legs. As a writer, I find immense joy and gratitude in feeling my brain and eyes process like a computer, my thoughts and then how my hands type. Then I stop and observe my breathing again. I am alive. I knew once and can remember what it felt like when I was almost dead in 1996 the day before my birthday when I had an ectopic pregnancy. I have this day, this time to keep learning and processing my journey in my body that no one else can control. I have control over this process and this moment.

So, I guess my technique is grounding. Think of a two-pronged plug that you put into a grounded wall socket. The two prongs are your legs and the electrical outlet is the ground; the Earth. When you inhabit and are mindful of your physical process, the chaotic, mean, death-riddled, unloving world can swirl around you unhindered. You have no control over any of them or their events. But you do have total, unequivocal control over tuning into YOUR BODY, plugging it in and turning it on and observing how each part of your body feels, not just the thoughts and emotions you tend to be running that day based on events, either theirs or yours.

I love my body so much for having its own balanced process that literally guides me and grounds me each day. Of course, I honor my heart, which has its organic emotional flow, but it…is…fickle. The heart is fickle!! At least mine is. Of course, I honor my thought processes. The brain/mind is amazing in its ability to digest and process information but the eyes only see what is visible, right in front of it in the light and believe only what it sees. The eyes only see ILLUSION and then your mind tells you it’s real. It’s a pretty good magic trick. The heart only feels immediate feelings and tell you they are real.

The body doesn’t lie. Your breath doesn’t lie. Just as sure as the trees know exactly how deep to push their roots, reach up with their branches, leaf out, drop their leaves and blow in a storm, so your body also has billions of years of DNA in evolution and it knows exactly…what to do. The same is true for all of nature from season to season. Nature is the truth and Life itself.

Our health care system, our society, our media, and our civilization would take that grounding, the Earth life force, Gaia in all of her eternal ways and consciousness and tell her who she is and when to do it, as though she were a little girl. They would control that vital physical knowledge for themselves, hijack it from you and tell the daughters and sons of the Earth that they know your body better. They don’t. It’s your body, your truth, your power and your reason for being on the planet. Let the wisdom and rhythm of your body guide your heart and mind and you will be in a safe harbor while you live no matter what your heart and mind “see”.

Our bodies are ancient and universal and intimately tied to everything on the planet. We are gods and goddesses in all different forms dancing our way through time and eternity just for the sheer experience of it. Our in-breath and out-breath prove it.

Bodymind, “Molecules of Emotion”

This will be a perfect segue into the next subject matter on Intuition UP; morphic resonance; a phenomenon discovered by the work of Rupert Sheldrake. Dr. Pert talks about it as well at the end of this book.

Information is not dependent on time or space, as is matter and energy, but exists regardless of these limits! If information exists outside of the confines of time and space, matter, and energy, then it must belong to a very different realm from the concrete, tangible realm we think of as reality. And since information in the form of the biochemicals of emotion is running every system of the body, then our emotions must also come from some realm beyond the physical.”

Information theory seems to be converging with Eastern philosophy to suggest that the mind, the consciousness, consisting of information, exists FIRST, prior to the physical realm, which is secondary, merely an out-picturing of consciousness. Although this is about as radical as my scientist’s mind will let me get, I’m beginning to understand how such a view could coexist comfortably with the kind of science I’ve been doing.”

A priori knowledge. That’s the wisdom of the ancients. We could not come into the body through our mother without it. We are first and foremost, Mind. It precedes the physical and continues on when the physical ends. Information theory is simply morphic resonance which creates holograms. The science behind morphic resonance is illumined in the scientific work of Rupert Sheldrake. This definition is from HIS website. I recommend you go to the link.

Sheldrake.org

Morphic resonance is a process whereby self-organizing systems inherit a memory from previous similar systems. In its most general formulation, morphic resonance means that the so-called laws of nature are more like habits.”-Rupert Sheldrake

When Dr. Pert says out-picturing of consciousness, this harks to the phenomenon of holograms. They are;

a three-dimensional image formed by the interference of light beams from a laser or other coherent light source…a photograph of an interference pattern that, when suitably illuminated, produces a three-dimensional image.
Some people suggest that our world, us, and earth are holographic. Life is more like a movie projection of the matrix of all of our intentions than anything else. All that most people see is in 3D, yet scientists have proven we live in at least 21 dimensions. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
Her realization at the end is;
And now that I know my body has wisdom, this calls for a new kind of responsibility on my part. I can no longer act like a dumb machine and wait to be fixed by the mechanic-otherwise known as the doctor. Now I have the potential to consciously intervene in the system myself, to take an active role in my own healing. I’m both more powerful and more responsible for creating the health I experience than the dumb machine I used to think I was
That is the basis for all holistic medicine. We seek to empower the patient with scientific facts, not gouge you for a huge profit based on materialism. We make a living with our work, not a killing and ask you to do your part for yourself. I talk about my journey in my book “Healer”. Enjoy!

Healing Feeling, “Molecules of Emotions”

Chapter 12, page 250;

She’s in Southern California now hanging out with the progressive, spiritual folks.

Here in California there seems to be room for a consideration of the spiritual dimension of health, which can encompass such elements as prayer, energy flow, distant healing, and psychic phenomena, to name but a few.”

The time period was post-NIH when she felt unsupported and maligned, so her friend Nancy taught her a type of protective mantra that focuses the mind and the Qi. I do this with my own patient’s as well who are going through very difficult circumstances with work or divorce. When your habitual thought and emotions go negative, it goes right into your cells. Which cells it goes into depends on which thoughts and feelings you’re running. None of it is good for you or your body. I get rid of the rocks in my patient’s shoulders and they return with them again if they don’t stop the mental/emotional habit. Holistic medicine is about real change; not pills. We have scads of scientific evidence backing it up. It’s important to set your boundaries and protect yourself between treatments. We call that mindfulness or self-care.

She felt good about doing it on an intuitive level and called it, “extracorporeal peptide reaching, a form of emotional resonance that happens when receptors are vibrating together in seemingly separate systems. This was before the term subtle energy had been introduced to describe a still mysterious fifth force beyond the four conventional forces of physics; electromagnetic energy, gravity and weak and strong nuclear forces.”

She then gets into a conversation about how the information has changed our concepts.

We have to make a distinction between the metaphor of matter and energy and that of information”, her friend Gottesman said. “The older metaphor deals with matter, force, energy, and is expressed in Einstein’s famous formula connecting those elements E=mc2. While these terms are useful for building locomotives and bridges, even atomic bombs, they are not so useful for understanding the human body. Physical processes aren’t things, they are dynamic and take place in an open fluid system, and therefore fit better with the metaphor of information than that of matter and force.”

I absolutely see this as well in my office. My patients don’t hesitate one bit when I suggest that what they’ve been through and continue to hold to as far as a mental and emotional habit is causing the problem in the tissue that I’m holding in my hand. Once they realize it, they can let it go. How do I know what the energy is? Part of it is listening, part of my work is intuition. When dealing with the body, intuition is vital.

He goes on; “Today, the concept of information is replacing energy and matter as the common denominator for understanding all biological life and even environmental processes.” Dr. Pert says, “Yes, and the neuropeptides and receptors are the biochemicals we call information molecules, they are using a coded language to communicate via a mind-body network. They are in the process of information exchange, having a two-way conversation-very different from what happens when there is a one-way push from behind, the way force works.”

Well, our modern healthcare system hasn’t caught up with all of this science one bit, which came out in the late nineties. And here it is 2017. Why should we believe anything they recommend. They’re not updated.

A New Crowd, “Molecules of Emotion”

It’s time to finish up Chapter 11 and Dr. Pert’s life has completely changed.  She’s in a “labless existence” as she puts it.  Being in healthcare myself, I can’t imagine being without my office where I treat my patients.  I’d be lost without it!

In 1991, she met Deepak Chopra, MD who is still sort of a rock star in the field of leading-edge holistic medicine, similar to Andrew Weil, MD.  They “get it” on an energy level and use their intuition, not just their allopathic, reductionist training in their work. She is now a regular on the circuit of speakers and is called “the bodymind scientist” and following Stanley Krippner, Ernest Rossi, Stan Grof, Willis Haran, Fritjof Capra, Beverly Rubik, John Upledger, and Joan Borysenko. She says,

The ability to accept very diametrically opposite points of view is due I believe, to the fact that I’m a woman. Because women have a thicker corpus callosum, the bundle of nerves that bridges the left and right brain hemispheres, they are able to switch back and forth from the rational, or left brain, to the intuitive, or right brain with relative ease. With fewer nerves connecting the hemispheres, men tend to more focused in one hemisphere or the other”

Of course, there are men who are open-minded and not “objectifiers”, which I just read yesterday in a prominent article about how to tell if your partner is truly straight or bi-sexual, written by a psychologist.  Here is a link to the article.  I found it very enlightening. Women wonder about this all the time these days. Here is the link.

Is Your Man Gay or Straight

I have to wonder what this doctor would have to say about Dr. Pert’s statement regarding the corpus callosum. He calls women “relational” when it comes to sex and men “objectifiers”.  I have personally found that too for the 54 years of my life.  It’s terribly hard on women. Our emotions tend to be involved with sex and we bond easily.  Women these days are trying NOT to bond but I feel that’s a mistake and is lowering ourselves to the level of many men. How is that helping?

Well, women need sex, I believe more than men do. If we’re going to get the sex we need, maybe some of us have decided that for our health, it’s worth the compromise. I’m guessing men would say that being married and monogamous is terribly hard on them but it sure is expected of them on the surface by all of our institutions! I know it’s a two-way street and it’s no one’s fault! Nature and evolution have made the genders this way, I feel and I wish we’d stop fighting about it and try to compromise; the institutions’ values be damned. It’s about our bodies and our hearts when it comes to men and women.  Those two combined affect our families and I believe we all care about our children and families. If we don’t keep it together, it rips the foundation of our society apart.

Now she finds an investor for Peptide T.  Hurray! He is Eckart Wintzen and the year is late 1990.  She did not pursue him; he came to her.  He was a millionaire and said, “Call me if you need anything.” They were about to go bankrupt and quite gloomy about the prospects for Peptide T research. Synchronistically, she received a call from Mr. Wintzen on the deadline and he said he would send her the money that she hadn’t even asked for! With a simple FAX, the government now got what they needed, proof that she had a major investor, one who could without a doubt supply the millions needed to support further research and development and successfully bring the drug to the marketplace. The solution had come only when she had stopped trying.

Crossing Over, Coming Together, Part II

I’m almost done giving you the scoop on “Molecules of Emotion” by Dr. Candace Pert, Ph.D. I’m going to finish summing up Chapter 11 of this great book where she talks about healing herself after all she’s been through in the NIH lab, with the men, and being unfairly excluded from the Lasker Award because she’s a woman.  She says,

I realized that I had been angry for years, harboring deep resentments that went all the way back to Sol and the Lasker, perhaps even further back… (more details)In the Lasker days, when I began comparing what happened to me to the losses inflicted on Rosalind Franklin. I had only intuited that suppressing my emotions was dangerous and might lead to cancer, but now I had amassed enough hard scientific data to convince me that I needed to heal my emotions if I wanted to pull through this difficult time-alive and healthy” –pg. 236

Rosalind Elsie Franklin (25 July 1920 – 16 April 1958) was an English chemist and X-ray crystallographer who made contributions to the understanding of the molecular structures of DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid), RNA (ribonucleic acid), viruses, coal, and graphite so her comparison was apt given her work and success. Born in 1920 in London, England, Rosalind Franklin earned a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Cambridge University. She learned crystallography and X-ray diffraction, techniques that she applied to DNA fibers. One of her photographs provided key insights into DNA structure. Other scientists used it as evidence to support their DNA model and took credit for the discovery. Franklin died of ovarian cancer in 1958, at age 37.

This is what women do to themselves because there is so much negativity reflected back to us regarding having power, intelligence, and self-esteem from other women, men, and religion.  Dr. Pert says,

There was no doubt I had a reputation for being a spitfire, someone who was so hellbent on her own path that other people often felt the best thing they could do was simply stay out of my way. For the first time, I seriously considered; Was I the problem? If I’d behaved differently, been a good girl, and played the game according to the rules, would Peptide T have made it to the market, saving the lives of people who were now dead because it wasn’t available sooner?

I wrote “No” all over the margins. We’re not called to be saviors of the world or co-dependent. The short of it is, she found some spiritual healing for herself, was about to understand the true nature of forgiveness and forgave Sol, her old boss. She began to accept herself and found a quiet mental state where she didn’t feel the need “to perform” or achieve so much anymore.  I can totally relate to that as many women can.  She says,

I also started to become aware of synchronicity, to see connections between events and people happening simultaneously and then to act on this awareness instead of out of the more familiar linear cause-and-effect model”-pg. 242

Here is where intuition really kicks in and she says,

It appealed to me intuitively. The mind-body network is so taxed by unprocessed sensory input in the form of suppressed trauma or undigested emotions that it has become bogged down and cannot flow freely, sometimes even working against itself, at cross-purposes…When stress prevents the molecules of emotion from flowing freely where needed, the largely autonomic processes that are regulated by peptide flow, such as breathing, blood flow, immunity, digestion, and elimination, collapse down to a few simple feedback loops and upset the normal healing response.”

As a professional bodyworker and reiki practitioner, I see this every day and align it every day with my patients.  They can feel it and I stay busy!

“My colleagues were doing research on how trauma and blockage of emotional and physical information can be stored indefinitely at the cellular level.“-pg.243

So there you have it. And does our health care system understand and act on this in their treatment before they charge you $10,000/year for health insurance? No. Do they cover treatments by practitioners that really empower and help people get well?  No way! They are mired in materialism and greed most of the time and their treatments don’t work unless the placebo effect kicks in. It’s your belief in their pill that makes you feel better, not the pill itself. That’s an expensive magic show and sometimes they make it worse. It’s a crap shoot they play with our body and most people let them.

Snow and Cherry Blossoms at the Office of Alternative Medicine; NIH

On page 224, Dr. Pert is now in Washington, DC in the Office of Alternative Medicine (OAM) at the National Institute of  Health (NIH) talking to Wayne Jonas, MD who was at the helm of OAM in the 90’s. She told him that it has long been her wish to see a program started inside the NIH that would do the basic research to put new paradigm science on a secure footing.

“All kinds of practitioners, from the nurse healers who practice therapeutic touch to the holistic chiropractors (and Naprapaths) who do manipulations, tell us that they feel subtle energies moving through the bodies of their patients. My own hunch is that these energy emanations get created as ligands bind to receptors in the body, doing their intricate humming dance with each other. Now, these energies have not been convincingly measured by objective devices, although a few physicists have worked at devising more sensitive means of measuring quantal events. Why couldn’t the NIH fund some research on the subject? —either on measuring the body’s energy field or on studying how energy healers can influence this flow, perhaps by using their own energy to trigger receptors in a manner analogous to the way electromagnetic energy fires neurons.”

As I read this section, which Dr. Pert wrote back in 1997, twenty years ago, it’s a little startling and depressing that this project hasn’t been achieved yet.  I’ve been a Reiki practitioner in my office and my patients and I feel the Ki or Qi, day in and day out as I work on them, and yet materialistic science has yet to ramp up their methods to measure it?  Yes, it’s 2017 and millions of people all over the world, from Qi Gong practitioners to Reiki in hospitals, know that it’s real and it works to move Qi (Chi) as sure as you can feel the heat of the sun when it shines.

Sure, you can make the qi chaotic again with your habits, thoughts, and negative emotions when you walk out the door, but all of it is alignable if you let it in. We’re teaching you how balanced and aligned can feel so you can decide whether or not you want it. We can’t make you accept it.

Wayne Jonas agrees with me on the necessity for basic research and, in a great example of synchronicity, relates how just the day before he had presented his idea for an intramural research program to a gathering of NIH institute directors. This is wonderful news, and if he can make it happen, it will be a terrific breakthrough…”

To be continued…

Crossing Over, Coming Together

In “Molecules of Emotions”, by now AZT was being tested and she had resigned from NIH in June 1987.  The OAM, Office of Alternative Medicine has been established at the NIH as well, right in the main building much to Dr. Pert’s surprise.

The OAM was established four years ago by the NIH to investigate and evaluate many of the alternative therapies and practices-including acupuncture, homeopathy, manipulative healing techniques (such as Naprapathic Manual Therapy), chiropractic and massage, visualization, and biofeedback-that have become so visible over the past ten years that the mainstream can no longer ignore them.”

NIH is finally catching up with the American public which is well aware of the benefits of alternative medicine as shown by a study done by David Eisenberg at Harvard.  In an article, he published in January 28, 1993, issue of the The New England Journal of Medicine, he showed that one-third of Americans are using alternative medicine and paying out of pocket, $13.7 billion dollars.  Here is the link to that article;

January 29, 1993 Article in NEJM

In a mere eight years, by 2025, this is the prediction for how big our market is going to be, that includes intuitive knowing and processing of emotions in the body; $197 billion

Alternative Medicine Market in 2025

Dr. Pert says, “In my capacity as chairperson of an OAM study section on mind-body medicine, a position I had undertaken at the behest of the previous director of the OAM, Joe Jacobs, I had had the opportunity to review many studies in the field of alternative medicine finding good data, some as solid as anything in the mainstream, to show that the mind and emotions can influence immunity. The experience made me ask the serious question; If we know thoughts and feelings can influence disease, why aren’t we doing more expanded hard research to determine which diseases these modatlites are most applicable to, and performing the experiments that could lead to answers and possible cure?

Oh boy, that’s a good question! My theory; greed and fraud are the reason. In a materialist, mechanistic paradigm, there are no profits in cures, wellness, empowerment and truth. And if you’re an atheist, there is no God or afterlife to account to for your selfish actions that hurt others by treating their bodies like they are cars or computers so they feel free to behave in whatever they want with impunity. What difference does it make if there is no karma. Social expectations and norms will take care of who gets accepted and who gets shunned. It’s a good thing they’re flat out wrong and the Universe doesn’t work that way. In their view, you live, you die, that’s it.  Get what you can and go.

It’s very cynical and nihilistic, isn’t it?  When I leave a straight’s office, it seems to me they don’t have a damn clue. They just want to prescribe more drugs that puts more money in their pocket. But they believe in the drugs, not the inherent power of the body to align itself!

Sensible, tuned in people know that we are not alone.

Turning Point

Dr. Pert was speaking of Norman Cousins:

What the body needed was the life-affirming, joyous experience of laughter.  State of mind, thought, and feelings, all of which were completely ignored by the medical model, did, in fact, play a major role in recovery.  He even postulated that the laughter had triggered a release of endorphins, which, by elevating his mood, had somehow brought about a total remission of his disease.“-pg. 167 of “Molecules of Emotion”

NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO US IN THE BODY, NO MATTER WHO HAS TRIED TO OR HAS VICTIMIZED US, IT IS COMPLETELY WITHIN OUR OWN POWER TO CHANGE, TURNAROUND, AND DO WHAT WE WILL WITH OUR OWN MINDS AND BODIES. We all intuitively know this and try to reason it away.

There is no blame because we have individually been given this full power.  There are no accidents; everything happens for a reason.  And NO ONE ESCAPES the REPERCUSSIONS of the HARM they do to others or themselves. The forces of karma are real. It’s not up to us to get revenge.

Ego says, “I’m sick and useless.  Everyone must drop what they’re doing and give me their energy for myself to use and throw into my black hole of toxic energy because I have NONE within myself.  Everyone else took it from me. I am a poor wretch.”  That’s a huge lie. It’s like a dementor and those in affinity will be drawn to you like a moth to a flame. Those sitting in the light of fullness and self-care will keep you far away if they are wise.

We each have a duty on this planet to transcend, release, forgive, and take action on behalf of ourselves to be well no matter what and FOCUS on what we want to feel for our own bodies and mind.  Stop blaming and take responsibility for your power to think, feel, and create. Stop giving your time and mind to religion, family, politics, and shopping that are negative if you want to be whole.

If you verbally, mentally, and emotionally think of how evil and wrong others are all day and then hate yourself too, you are full of murder, hate, vile disease, and toxic energy that no one who sits in love should be around. You are creating it with your mental focus. Pivot away from that. The Universe has your back.  Sit in the truth of love and wholeness, not in lies.

The universe agreed to allow you to come into the body and CREATE WITH YOUR BODY AND TIME, the experiential learning of your choice.  Now get busy and stop blaming others for the condition of your body and mind, wasting your time, and do something productive that you want to do.

There is no end to forgiveness from the universe or support for you to pivot and change because they don’t have an opinion of you. No one really does and if they do, it has no power because you are the boss of your body and mind, not them. The only opinion that matters to you is your own. The Universe comes from and sits in pure love.  You can use and roll with that or you can resist it.  It’s all your choice.  But wellness and wholeness is the truth, 24/7, available to your mind and heart to use, focus on, and create.  Practice makes perfect.

Do you believe it or not?  It’s the difference between being constructive or destructive with your time.  Are you helping or harming the planet? Do you hate God/Source or do you Love? God hasn’t done anything to you; humans have because they are imperfect, and so are you.  So, let it go and do good to yourself and others no matter what!!!
